Already available to PSN Gold members, Electronic Arts will be releasing the final DLC pack for the DICE-developed first-person shooter Battlefield 3, known suitably as End Game, next week for Xbox 360, PC, and all other PSN PS3 users on March 12.
End Game adds to Battlefield 3 not only four maps (literally one for each season), but also motorbikes, jets, and paratrooper drop ships. Two classic multiplayer game modes -- Capture the Flag and Air Superiority (a.k.a. dogifighting) -- are also included.
Those who think that making the land-to-air transition might be a challenge, well they'd be correct. Craig Mcleod, a producer at DICE who worked on the DLC, doesn't think any gamer should feel discouraged about trying something new.
"We're doing essentially what we did with Tank Superiority in that we're giving players a chance to jump in and actually play with them," he explained in a one-on-one interview with News10 Game Guy Barry White. "In this mode, everyone gets a jet; so just jump in, try your hand at at, practice, and you'll get better."
Like the previous four DLC packs for the game, Battlefield 3: End Game requires the core BattleField 3 video game software in order to play.
