The American Red Cross will be getting some relief once video game publisher Aksys Games donates the $12,920.00 it raised during its "Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward Hurricane Sandy Relief Efforts Sale" last month.

On November 14, 2012, Aksys announced that it would be selling limited-edition wristwatches inspired by its Nintendo 3DS/PlayStation Vita game Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward.  All proceeds from the sales of these watches are going to the American Red Cross.  All-in-all, Aksys says that the watches were purchased so quickly that the company sold out within 24 hours.

In a statement released by the company, Aksys Games says they "would like to thank, from the bottom of our hearts, those who reached in their pockets and purchased a Virtue's Last Reward watch to help our friends on the East Coast.  We sincerely hope that this donation will aid in the ongoing relief efforts."

Aksys Games was founded in 2006 and is headquartered in Torrance, California.
