'Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable' for PlayStation Vita.
New details and screenshots have emerged for D3 Publisher's upcoming PlayStation Vita title Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable, which is scheduled for release this winter in North America and Europe.
Giant bugs are yet again the antagonistic force ready to bring physical destruction to civilization. Players will join the valiant Earth Defense Force to destroy thousands of giant bugs and turn an entire city into dust.
Instead of offering single- and multi-player missions, EDF 2017 Portable will feature nothing but multiplayer-enabled missions. These missions can be played alone, but can also support as many as four players. Furthermore, multiplayer can be taken beyond co-op as players will be able to battle against other players in the game's ersus mode.
It has also been confirmed that fan favorite Pale Wing will be reintroduced in the game. She allows players to soar above buildings in her jet pack and causes a good deal of destruction from above.
Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable is under development by Sandlot and is currently rated "RP" (Rating Pending) by the ESRB.
