Guardians of Middle-Earth is an upcoming multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Monolith Productions

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment takes gamers behind the scenes with the the multiplayer online battle area pros at Monolith in this new video for Guardians of Middle-Earth.

Guardians of Middle-Earth is a new multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Monolith Productions, set to be released in fall 2012 on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network.  The console-based MOBA offers more than 20 iconic guardians including Gandalf, Sauron, Gollum, Galadriel, Legolas and many more for players to control in PVP arena battles.  Gamers will have the ability to connect with other players via an in-game voice communication system, as well as access to a comprehensive online stat and leader board system where they can track friends' victories and defeats, and more. 

Furthermore, WBIE is hosting a Pro-am tournament for the game at PAX Prime in Seattle.  Tournament participants will get a glimpse of the highly anticipated video game and have a chance to compete against MOBA pros.

The tournament's details are below:

•         Friday, Aug. 31 - 

o   Qualifiers: 1-2 p.m.

o   Semi-finals: 2:20 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. 

o   Finals: 3 p.m.

•         Saturday, Sept. 1 - 

o   MOBA pros compete as one team against other participating teams 

o   Qualifiers: 12-1 p.m.

o   Semi-finals: 1:20 p.m. and 1:40 p.m. 

o   Finals: 2 p.m.

•         Sunday, Sept. 2 - 

o   Qualifiers: 1-2 p.m.

o   Semi-finals: 2:20 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. 

o   Finals: 3 p.m.

The five tournament winners on Friday and Saturday will be awarded a Guardians of Middle-Earth branded Astro Headset, while Sunday's champions will win the grand prize, a fully customized Guardians of Middle-earth branded Xbox 360.
