Body image, weight problems, food issues and eating disorders continue to dominate our culture and especially our pop culture.
Katie Couric revealed on Monday that she "wrestled" with bulimia through her college years and beyond. And her show's guest when she revealed that -- Demi Lovato -- said she first started having food issues when she was 3 years old. The singer was a baby in a diaper rubbing her belly, wondering "ever be flat?"
Salma Hayek tells More magazine she pushes "the limit of chubbiness at all times."
And Lady Gaga, who has been making headlines for putting on some pounds thanks to her papa's pizza, is fighting back. She shared a photo of herself in her undies on LittleMonsters.com with the caption: "Bulimia and Anorexia since I was 15."
She urged followers to join the "Body Revolution 2013," and with a photo of her backside, she added, "and BREED some (expletive) COMPASSION". She wants fans to post photos and "celebrate your triumph over insecurities."
