  • FOLSOM, CA -The Great Hang Up is all about safety on the roads and that includes teen drivers. Some local programs are stepping up with a hands-on, visual approach to drive home the message.

The P.A.R.T.Y Program, short for "Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth", is an innovative program that includes a lab experiment for teens, simulating what it's like to have a traumatic brain injury and e-r equipment used after an accident.

56 teens took part in the P.A.R.T.Y program last Friday and another will be held this Friday. There is also a P.A.R.T.Y golf tournament at Empire Ranch in Folsom Friday October 14th to raise funds and awareness for the program and to help expand to other areas.

The California Highway Patrol is also offering a Start Smart Class parents and teens can take together.
